What is Bleaching Earth, and how does it work?
We treat bleaching earth, also known as activated clay, with heat to increase its ability to adsorb impurities. It widely purifies oils by removing free fatty acids, pigments, and other contaminants.
How does the Activation Process work in the plant?
In the activation process, the clay is heated in a furnace at high temperatures (between 400°C to 700°C). This heat treatment increases the surface area of the clay, enhancing its adsorption capacity to effectively purify oils and fats.
