How to Work:
Material Preparation: Begin by preparing the clay-based material, ensuring it is free from any contaminants and properly dried.
Activation: Heat the clay material in a furnace to activate it. This process involves exposing the clay to high temperatures, usually between 400°C to 700°C, to increase its adsorption capacity.
Mixing: Once activated, mix the clay with the oil or fat that needs to be purified. This mixture allows the activated clay to adsorb impurities from the oil or fat.
Contacting Phase: Allow the mixture of activated clay and oil/fat to undergo a contacting phase. This involves thorough mixing and agitation to ensure maximum contact between the activated clay and the oil/fat.
Filtration: After the contacting phase, filter the mixture to separate the activated clay from the purified oil/fat. Various filtration methods such as pressure filtration or vacuum filtration can accomplish this.
Drying: Once separated, dry the activated clay to remove any residual moisture. Proper drying ensures the activated clay can be reused in the bleaching process.
Reactivation (Optional): If necessary, reactivate the spent clay by subjecting it to high temperatures again to restore its adsorption capacity for future use.
Packaging: Finally, package the purified oil/fat for distribution or further processing.
